I am a social and cultural historian with research interests in place, visuality, and the built environment in Britain and Ireland. I am the author of two books, Modern Dublin: Urban Change and the Irish Past (Oxford: OUP, 2013), and Snapshot Stories: Visuality, Photography, and the Social History of Ireland (Oxford: OUP, 2020), and articles both in academic journals and the press. I am currently Associate Professor of Modern History at the University of Bristol. There’s more about me and a full list of my publications on my University of Bristol page here.
